Black spot always on the screen

THere is a black spot on my screen; midway and one-third of the distance from the top.

How do I get rid of it?

How big? Most of the time you do not get rid of it since it is a hardware flaw. If it is not a crack but a defect and it is under warranty HP will replace it.
