I have a brand new laptop and had no issues until I recently lightly wiped the screen and now it’s very very very dim and I can see barely anything on the screen of my laptop. I am wondering if because this because this laptop is supposed to be a touchscreen but never worked as a touchscreen since I got it. Can someone please help me make it so I can see on my laptop. I’ve literally only had this laptop like a week and I can’t really see anything when I turn the pc on.

Hi @Soulsetsail,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Laptop screen which is very dim.

- Follow the below steps to access the BIOS menu.

1) Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer. (Wait for a few seconds after releasing the power button)

2) Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu is displayed, press the f10 to access the BIOS menu.

If the issue appears on the BIOS, there is an issue with the hardware.
