I received my new HP Envy 360 Convertible 3 days ago. I am very displeased with the webcam quality and the lack of software to edit cam settings. The image is very grainy and pixelated no matter how great the lighting of the room. There has to be some software or a better driver to make the image clear. I've contacted HP and spent several hours with them trying to find a solution. They only things they suggest are to send it in for repair or do a complete system recovery. After what I've read online concerning this camera issue, neither of the suggestions offered will correct the issue I'm having. Are there any other suggestions?

Hi @RC312,
Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I came across your post and wanted to assist you.
I see that you have already tried the steps suggested over the phone. Don't worry we'll work together to find a solution for you,
Please follow the steps suggested in the support document, click here
If this does not help to fix the issue, I would recommend you follow the steps suggested previously. Before we conclude that it's a hardware issue, you could perform a system recovery.
Link to perform system recovery: Click here
Doing the recovery will wipe off everything from the PC. So please remember to back your important data. If this options does not work, which means either the partition is corrupted or system file is missing.
The only other way to install Windows would be to order the recovery media for your laptop and using the recovery media you can install Windows. You can check if the recovery media is available online on www.hp.com/drivers by entering the exact model no. of your laptop. To find the exact model no. click here: http://hp.care/2bygf7l
Otherwise, you could also reach HP phone support to order the recovery media. Please fill out an online form on www.hp.com/contacthp to reach phone support.
Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,
It's been a pleasure interacting with your and I hope you have a good day ahead.

Exactly same issue. I contacted HP Support by FB messenger. They just say maybe it is configuration, my impression is that they don't know how to solve.
