HP Pavilion -15z Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is a brand new machine -- had it maybe 2 weeks.  Bought this configuration for games such as Rome Total War, Skyrim, etc.

After the Microsoft -- Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3199986) on 11/08, the R7M440Graphics with 4 GB has stopped being recognized.

The system now only uses the integrated R5 graphics which has limited memory.  Some games warned me and allow me to use main memory, others just lock up.

The Radeon software shows it "Linked" to the R5 but it is not being used.

Is there anyway to make the R7M440 the primary graphics?

I would recommend you to disable the automatic windows updates and choose the update you want to install instead so you have a better control over your pc,

Once windows update settings are tweaked, please go ahead and perform either a system restore to an earlier data or do a driver/update rollback

For details and an overview about the switchable graphics: Click here

You may use the same to configure the settings as you see fit.
