HP Pavilion T8Z15UAR#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My network adapter is Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn WI-FI adapter. I am trying to figure out if it is Bluetooth compatable. The specs said it was when I bought my laptop. But I can not seem to get it to work. I did have the Bluetooth tab in the Notifications & Actions window when I got it. But after all the windows updates it has dissappeared.

Hi:

That model wlan card is not bluetooth capable.

The RTL8723BE is the bluetooth equipped wlan card.

The specs from HP for that model do not indicate that it comes with built in bluetooth.

If it did, the bluetooth spec would have been listed along with the 802.11b/g/n (1x1) Wireless Connectivity specification.

Thanks so much. That makes life easier.

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to access the wireless card to replace it with the bluetooth variation card.

If you don't want to take on that project and need bluetooth, you can purchase an external usb bluetooth adapter.

I use this one which works great, and hardly sticks out of the USB port.
