I can't find bluetooth anywhere on my HP laptop so I don't think I have one. I really want to hook up my bluetooth headphones. Is there a software or anything out there I can use to download bluetooth on my laptop? Thanks

Hi,

To use bluetooth you need the hardware first. You can buy a bluetooth usb dongle for cheap online and it will come with drivers for the PC so that you can connect headphones.

Example:

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=usb+bluetooth

If you need further help let me know,

David

Thanks David.  I wish I knew that sooner I spent a while searching my computer for bluetooth. Why didn't bluetooth come on this notebook?

Hi,

Most "older" computers and some newer computers still do not come with bluetooth, usually if present it is integrated with the wifi card. I guess most newer computers are designed to connect to smartphones and tablets and other devices. Also Bluetooth technology is advancing continuously with longer distance signals and faster data transfer speeds. Soon 5.0 will be the norm.

Anyway you can find really small USB bluetooth dongles which you can keep inserted in one of your USB ports for use with headphones, smartphones etc...

Hope it is helpfull,

David
