I am an American planning a trip to Great Britain later this year, and I'd like to bring my laptop with me. I know that the plugs are different and that I'll have to purchase an adapter, but I've learned that the voltage is different too. Theirs is much more powerful at 220 while ours is only 110. Will I need anything else to keep my computer from harm? Can I safely charge my cellphone by connecting a USB cable to my laptop?

All you will need is the cord that plugs into the wall outlet.

You will also be able to charge any device using the USB ports.

If you look at your adapter you will see it should say 100v-240v.

All you will need is the cable from the AC to the wall outlet.

So I can just connect the regular charger to the adapter and I'm all set?
