HP ENVY 15-k253ca
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Downgraded from factory default Windows 8.1 to Windows 7. In BIOS, enabled Legacy Support, disabled Secure Boot option, then selected Internal CD/DVD Rom Drive as boot option.

Anyone knows the make and part number of the wireless LAN controller? As I have tried "Realtek RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE 80211b/g/n Wireless LAN Driver" from HP, did not work.

Hi:

According to the parts list for your notebook, it has a WLAN11AC+BT4 1x1 PCle+USB HMC MOW.

http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=J9K76UA

The part number tells me it is an Intel Dual Band WIRELESS-AC 3160 for which you can get the wireless and bluetooth drivers below...

This package provides the driver to support the Intel 7260/3160 Wireless LAN adapter in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

File name: sp69038.exe

This package contains the driver installation package for the Intel Bluetooth in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

NOTE: In order for this package to install correctly, the previous package must be removed (if applicable) before running this driver update.

File name: sp69039.exe
