Hi.
How do I get the HP laptop to clear printer que upon print job completion?
My HP Spectre won't clear the print que after a print job is complete.
I don't know if the HP Officejet 4630 is sending a signal back correctly to validate completion.
The print job hangs there. If I pause and cancel the print job, it does not go away.
If I restart the laptop the print job reprints on the printer and then the print que is emptied.
I have had to reset the printer spooler via services.
I have re-installed printer, updated drivers, nothing.
The printer port is WSD-4c4fc3a3-a73f-4613-9faf-c26e0c12a922.013b.
My wife's laptop, Lenovo Yoga, prints and empties the que, although she gets a notice that the printer paper jammed after every print job, it isn't jammed.
HP to HP communication?
Thanks,
edmjay.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and understand that the print jobs do not get cleared from the print queue. You have even reset the printer spooler and the issue persists. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have performed and have certainly done a great job. Let me help you with this case.
I recommend you to download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor software from this link: http://hp.care/2cfpdTd. The HP Print and Scan Doctor will identify and issues and fix them for you. Let me know how it goes. Good luck!

Hi MKazi,
I ran the Scan Doctor tool. I think it resolved my issue. When I printed the test page the printer queue was empty. I will respond back after I try to print several documents in a row.
Thank you,
