HP Envy x360 convertible

My Brand new HP envy 15-w237cl slows down the entire internet. I can't even load a page when this device is on the internet but as soon as I take it off it is no problem. The internet company has been out and said the laptop is slowing it down. How do I get the laptop to not slow down the computer.

Hi @BigN,

Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums,

I see your internet is slowing down when you have your Envy computer connected to the internet. Glad to provide my suggestion.

Have you installed all the updates on our computer?

Any new computer when you connect it to the internet for the first time, there will be a lot of updates to be installed.

Recommend you to run Windows updates and HP Support assistant to make sure all the updates are installed. Click here to know more.

Even after the updates are installed if the computer is still slowing down your internet.

Recommend you to open task manager and check which application is using a lot of the internet speed and disable those applications.

Usually, for any new computer to be updated, it might take anywhere between 7-10 days.

Initiate the updates when you are not using the internet on any other devices for the process to not affect other devices.

Let me know if this helped.
