Hi, I have some issues with the wifi card in my laptop. My laptop's product number is: L8R39AV.
So my main problem in my laptop is that My wifi card is a bit faulty. Faulty in the sense,it is slow compared to the connection with the wired ethernet connection. To better understand for you, I also made a speed test with the wired connection and without the wire connection.
The results are:
- Wired ethernet: 25+ download speed, 3+upload speed.
- Wireless Wifi: 15 download speed, 2 upload speed. 😞
I could use the ethernet, but my room is very far away from the internet connection...
Need some Assistance Please!!
Thanks
Pavan

Hi:
Did you try the latest Broadcom wireless lan driver for your notebook?
This package provides the Broadcom Wireless LAN drivers for supported notebook models running a supported operating system. Broadcom Wireless LAN drivers are required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN adapter.

I tried to install the latest drivers for my laptop and it did install. And when I ran the Internet speed connection, the issue still persisted and also it still persists. To say I bought my laptop just five months ago and it works perfectly fine... the wifi is the only issue here. And therefore I have 1 year warranty. So if there could be any technicians visit and maybe repair the problem,it would be so good.
Thanks
Pavan

You're very welcome, Pavan.
I suggest you contact HP technical support for assistance with the problem, if the latest wireless card driver didn't help.
One thing you should note is that 1x1 card will only have a maximum connection/download speed of 72 MBPS.

Hi Pavan,
May I ask you what the technician did on your machine to solve poor wifi performance issue please?
I have a similar issue and currently I am not able to solve it, even with the latest driver package.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards, Cedric

Hi Pavan,
I am having the same issue with the same adapter. Could you please give me a hint about what the technicians did.. it was hardware or software? did they changed the adapter module? BIOS upgrade/update?
Thanks in advance
