wireless slim keyboardmouse
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The Control Panel trouble-shooting tries but says the driver is not installed correctly, although the installation works fine.

I've tried them on another computer and they work fine.  When I plug in the usb dongle there is no light like the others.

Thanks

I read your post about the keyboard issue, and wanted to assist you!  I understand that you are having trouble with the computer recognizing the wireless devices.

To start, can you provide me with the Product Number of the computer?  Here is a link you can use that will help you find your Model and Product Number:

I see that the wireless devices will work on other computers.  Have you tried connecting the dongle in different USB ports?  You can also try reviewing the following document.  Please post back with the results: HP PCs - Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Troubleshooting

Hello.

I attempted the keyboard and mouse trouble-shooting with no luck.  As I mentioned, they work on another computer but no my main laptop.  When I insert the USB receiver the computer pings to acknowledge it was inserted but nothing happens after that.  On the other computers I've tried, a setup dialog appears on the lower right to show the mouse and keyboard are working.  This does not happen with this laptop (tried multiple usb ports).  I spoken with co-workers that use wireless keyboard/mouse so it appears policy might not be in play...although I'd like to investigate that side.

The part# on the keyboard is "HP PN 803183-001" || "SPS PN 803841-001"  This is the slim keyboard and mouse set.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks

Hello @TommyJ81068,

Thank you for the quick reply!

What were the results of the Hardware Diagnostics UEFI Component Tests?  Did you try updating the driver, and the BIOS?

Regards!
