HP Pavilion DV9000 laptop runn
Microsoft Windows Vista

I have a HP Pavilion DV9000 laptop running Windows Vista and I get the “Unidentified Network” error when trying to connect to my wireless gateway. I have tried all the fixes offered on the Internet except for updating my Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g WiFi adapter. Can you point me to HP page where I can get an updated driver? Thanks.

@GerryJ

Hello,

Checking the DV9000 support page, I did not see an available Atheros AR5007 WLAN adapter driver attached.

As this notebook is End of Service Life we may not have an available option for your specific model. Not 100% sure.

Checking I did find a driver HP is offering for that card from 2011. Please feel free to try it out and let us know how it works for you.
