Hello, thanks for your help.
HP Wireless Button Driver did not work.
Instead updating the BIOS made the WIFI button functioning. Now pressing on and off WIFI and the LED color changes regularly. Remains faulty selection WIFI / Airplane mode function from the taskbar because the two screen icons remain active both blue.
Thank you.

So, the updating the BIOS did the trick? The LED light is functioning correctly now?

I have the exact same issue since installing the Windows 10 Anniversary Update in August 2016.

I own a HP Envy TouchSmart 15-j003sg Notebook with Windows 10.14393.693.

I have installed the latest BIOS since a couple of days after it was released, as well as the HP Wireless Button Driver 1.1.18.1 Rev 1 (the issue should have been fixed from version 1.1.15.1 onwards, as stated in the download center description: "Fixes an issue where the wireless status LED indicator light displays the incorrect status when the system resumes from sleep or hibernate mode.", HP Wireless Button Driver 1.1.15.1

The latest Intel Chipset Driver (from Intel directly) is also installed as of its release. (Also any other driver is up to date)

Some further information I've gathered so far:
When the notebook is (fully, not via hybrid boot) restated, the control LED of the F12 key works properly. It issue starts to occur when resuming sleep/hibernation and stays until another full restart.

An interesting observation is that my other (HP Pavillion DV7 6b03sg (10.14393.693) as well as the HP Compaq CQ58 (but with 10.10586.753) are not affected by this issue.

@Marcel93, Thanks for your response and time.

Kudos to you for trying out the steps.

As mentioned even after updating the BIOS and chipset drivers the LED indicator light displays incorrect status.

Try performing a system restore on your PC and check if it helps.

If the issue still persists try performing a complete system recovery on your PC.

Hello, thanks for your help. Unfortunately the problem recurred again. The pc has been switched off two days and today when the wifi led did not change color by toggling wifi, is always blue, even in airplane mode, it remains blue.

Thank you for your relpy.

Unfortunately, I have to say that I already did install windows 10 from scratch twice since it occurred, so even this is no solution.

@Marcel93, Thanks for your response and time.

Kudos to you for trying out the steps.

As you mentioned reinstalling windows did not fix the issue.

Try downgrading the driver on your PC to 1.1.2.1 and check if it helps.

Please find the link to download the wireless button driver.

Let me know how it goes!

Cheers! 🙂
