When I download a large amount of content via iTunes, my Spectre x360 drops the wifi connection after a short time. I haven't had the connection drop during other tasks, such as viewing webpages or streaming video--only using iTunes. After 30 seconds or a minute, the laptop is always able to restore the connection but if I try to download iTunes content again it will again drop off wifi.
When I bring my laptop to work and use the wifi there, this issue doesn't come up at all and there is no wifi dropping when downloading content or updating apps. That would suggest a problem with my home wifi network correct? Well, I called RCN and they rebooted my router and troubleshooted with me to no avail. I restarted the router myself which also did not solve the problem.
Another wrinkle is that the Macbook Pro I have does not have this same problem with my home wifi and I'm able to update a ton of apps without an interruption in the signal. Does anyone know what might be going on? I generated a wlan report from the command prompt which showed the interruptions, but not very specific info about what went wrong. There appeared to be no hardware issues.
I'm still within a 30 day return window, but I feel that there is a simple solution to this that I'm missing. That and I otherwise really like this computer and spent a ton of time setting it up.
Thanks in advance.
