Hello everybody, I recently purchased a HP Laptop and installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
Since then the Wi-fi does not work.
I have been trying to download new drivers using the standard user interface menus but no luck.
Can someone help me understanding where and how to download the wifi drivers?
Thanks in advance for your support.
Guillaume

Question: So the wi-fi worked in Windows before?
Answer: Yes. And it still works when I use Windows.
Question: Is Ubuntu the only OS on the laptop now?
Answer: no, I have both Windows and Ubuntu installed.
Question: Do you know which wi-fi chip we are discussiong here? Intel? Realtek? Broadcom?
Answer: Not sure. I searched for some commands in Linux to find out and here is what I typed:
sudo lshw -C network
Here is what I got:
*-network UNCLAIMED
