The wifi on my laptop works intermittently and most of the time, I have to end up using an ethernet cable since it doesn't work. I've tried updating my wifi adapter drivers but that still hasn't fixed the issue. What do I do to fix it?

Hi:
The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with a Realtek RT8723BE 802.11bgn 1x1 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 combination adapter.
Since I don't know what driver you updated to, and the one on your notebook's support page is outdated, here is the link to the latest W8.1 wireless driver for that model wlan card...
This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

if that doesn't fix the problem, unfortunately, I wouldn't have any other suggestions for you to try.
