HP Envy 15-ah100na
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I installed Windows 7 on my HP Envy 15-ah100na laptop as I did not like Windows 10. I now cant connect to the internet via wireless or wired as the laptop seem to have no ethernet or networking controllers installed.

Has anyone got a link to where I can download the drivers for the networking controllers?

Thanks.

Hi:

Below is the link to the ethernet controller driver you need...

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72119.exe

There is no information online regarding what model wireless card your notebook has, so if you can let me know that, I will post the link to that driver too.

On some notebooks there is a FCC-ID sticker on the case somewhere.

If your notebook has such a sticker, please post the FCC-ID.

Thank you very much!

Do you have the USB 3 drivers too?

Also, how can you find out what HP drivers are for what Win 7 feature so I can find them myself in future?

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Here is the link to the USB3 driver...You want the first file on the webpage.  Install and restart the PC

Unfortunately, it would be too much trouble to explain to you how I find the drivers.

Your model is particularly difficult because it has AMD hardware, and you pretty much have to go to AMD and Realtek to find most of the drivers for those type of PC's.  You need the graphics driver from AMD and the audio and card reader drivers from Realtek (you can also get the ethernet driver from there too).

I just happened to know of a couple of HP notebooks that had the same ethernet and wireless card your has.

If there are any other drivers you need, it would be easier for you to let me know which ones are missing.

BTW, you can use the touchpad driver from your notebook's support page.  That happens to contain the W7 drivers too.
