Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had the ongoing issue of randomly losing internet connection. When I troubleshoot the problem, it says:

  • The Realtek RTL188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware-related problems
  • A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken

Usually relentless restarting eventually helps but sometimes I'm left without internet connection for hours. Please help!!!

Hi,

Looled like you upgraded your machine from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 but you have not applied new driver. Please download and install the following Realtek RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Drivers  for Windows 10:

         http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72517.exe

Okay, it turns out that this solution didn't work. Is there a specific method for installing the new driver to replace the older driver?

May be a very dumb question but how do I install the driver you linked to. Is it as simple as just downloading the link below and running it or do I need to uninstall the driver I already have that appears to have an error when I view it in the drivers menu before I run the exe below. Or do I need to do seomthing else entirely please assist if you can.
