I had to whip out my laptop with all my files cause I giving it to a friend I had the windows 10 download version in it. I removed it thinking my previous version of windows 7.1 was in there but I guessed wrong. Anyway I contacted Microsoft got windows 7 made a dvd of it and put it back in laptop well the drivers for the network and eithernet and cpi device and sm bus controller wont download for me to conect it to the internet. Already went to drivers area and downloaded driver for this laptop and installed them and nothing happening. Computer worked just fine before I removed windows 10 from it. Could some please help me I dont know what to do anymore.

Hi:
There are some drivers missing from the support page, which is probably why you are having issues...
HP never includes the chipset drivers for their notebooks with AMD processors and chipsets. The do include the chipset drivers for their Intel based notebooks though. Don't ask me why.
So...In order for you to get the smbus and usb controllers to work, you need to install the chipset drivers directly from AMD.
You want the first file listed on the webpage. Install and restart the PC.

The ethernet driver is listed on the support page...
This package provides the Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver that enables the Realtek Network Interface Card (NIC) Chip in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
File name: sp54998.exe
The driver for the PCI device (I believe that is what you meant to type) is on the support page...
This package contains the driver that enables the Realtek Card Reader in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The card reader enables users to read from or write to supported removable storage cards, which are typically used in digital cameras, digital music players, and cellular phones.
File name: sp54995.exe
The wireless card driver is not on the support page, so you need this one...
This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8188CE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

Since I got back on line and I downloaded hp support assistant I did a few updates threw there. And I dont know if it cause of updates or what I go to windows update and it just sits there and scans. I go back and check update history and it shows me windows update agent 7.6.7600.320 was successful and was installed the 10/4/2016 but since then wont update anythng what so ever. Thaught I ask here and see if anyone would know what would be wrong.

Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer regarding that issue, would be to see if installing this update and restarting the PC takes care of it.
