HP ENVY Photo 7855 will not boot up. It is stuck on the first dot on hp startup screen. I have attempted all troubleshoot options including: (Power Cycle the Printer, Check Power Connection, Remove External Devices, Update Firmware, Perform a Hard Reset, Check for Paper Jams, Reset the Printer Network Settings, Check HP Smart App). Please advise.

Hi @RainbowUA2 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've tried the standard troubleshooting steps for your HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer and it's still stuck on the startup screen, there might be a deeper issue at play.

Here are some additional steps you can try:

Check for Hardware Issues: Inspect the printer for any visible damage or loose connections. Ensure that all cables are securely connected and that there are no obstructions preventing the printer from booting up properly.

Remove Ink Cartridges and Paper: Sometimes, issues with ink cartridges or paper jams can cause the printer to fail during startup. Remove all ink cartridges and any paper from the printer, then try restarting it.

Perform a Partial Reset: This is a more extensive reset than a standard power cycle or hard reset. To perform a partial reset, follow these steps:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Check for Firmware Corruption: In rare cases, firmware corruption can cause startup issues. Contact HP support for assistance with reinstalling or updating the printer firmware.

I hope this helps.
