Hi @KAS_0015,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To resolve the issue of connecting your HP 2132 printer to your MacBook Air running macOS 14.4.1, here are a few steps you can follow:

Check Printer Compatibility: First, ensure that the HP 2132 printer is compatible with macOS 14.4.1. You can verify this by visiting the HP website or checking the printer's documentation.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support Site: Go to HP’s official support site and search for your printer model (HP DeskJet 2132). Download the latest drivers available for macOS 14.4.1.
  • Install HP Easy Start: HP often offers a software called HP Easy Start for Mac users, which guides you through the setup process and installs the necessary drivers.

Reset the Printing System:

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list on the left side.
  • Select “Reset printing system” from the context menu.
  • Add your printer again by clicking the "+" button and follow the prompts.

Check Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your MacBook via USB or is on the same Wi-Fi network if it supports wireless printing.
  • If you are using a USB cable, try a different cable or port to rule out a hardware issue.

Software Update Check:

  • Occasionally, a macOS update may cause compatibility issues. Check if there are any additional updates for macOS that might address this issue by going to System Preferences > Software Update.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
