I have a brand new iMac with Monterey OS.  My LaserJet M1212nf MFP does not have drivers available.  Do I need a new printer?

I understand you are looking for a printer driver. Yes, the HP Support site has the printer driver available for macOS 12.

Click here to download the same. 

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on Mac

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

Have you tried installing the driver on the Mac and tried printing?

As mentioned before, this driver is compatible with all versions of macOS 12.
