HP Officejet Pro 8610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer was working fine one day and then the next day appeared to be offline.

I tried turning it off, then unplugging it, waiting 30 seconds and then turning it back on.

I have restarted my PC.

I have run HP Smart diagnostic tool: acknowledges printer's existence, says printer is offline

I have run my PC's diagnostic tool: acknowledges printer's existence, says printer is offline

I have run the HP  Print and Scan Dr: cannot find the printer at all

I have updated all of the driver and then finally, I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of the drivers. When I attempt to reinstall it cannot find the printer using the IP address or the Hostname.

The printer itself shows that there are no updates needed, that it is fully functional and connected to the internet (the same internet that the PC is connected to).

Also, have tried pinging the IP address but it is unreachable.

Tried going to the EWS and it times out and wont load.

I do not want to buy a new printer. Any ideas.

@WhyIsMyPrinter, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the PC

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Now, try to access the EWS page of the printer and check if you are able to print a test page.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
