My printer is stuck in the 'start up' mode.

I'd be happy to help you! 

 

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and then into the wall outlet.
  • Turn on the printer.

Update Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Customer Support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Click here
  • If updates are available, download and install them following the provided instructions.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for a few minutes.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure that there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path.
  • Open the printer cover and check for any stuck paper or foreign objects.

Check for Ink Cartridge Issues:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
  • Try removing and reinserting the ink cartridges.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect all cables, including the power cord and USB cables.
  • Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
