Deskjet 6940
macOS 10.15 Catalina

As of oct 23 I am unable to print to my wired network hp6940 from my Mac but pc works fine. I have tried everything but the Mac complains about every up driver I have tried and marks it as malware.

since deskjet6940 does not support AirPrint, I cannot use that work around. The Mac recognizes it fine but cannot print since driver are blocked by filter.

I know the issue is related to revoked cert, however would greatly appreciate any workaround or solution. When is HP expected to release a solution.

Thank you

Hi,

Please follow below steps to uninstall any current drivers:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06960563

Next, download and install below drivers for your printer:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/ASU/HPPrinterDrivers5.1.dm...

Once completing the installation, open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and press the plus sign, select your printer and then select your printer model within the Use drop-down menu and try printing.
