Hi @Wesam2947492982 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble setting up your HP OfficeJet Pro 8122e printer. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue:

  • Check Connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected between your printer and your computer or network router. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Restart Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve temporary issues. Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Reset Printer: If restarting doesn't work, try resetting your printer to its factory settings. Usually, there's a reset button or option in the printer's menu. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.
  • Update Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by downloading the latest firmware from the HP website and following the instructions to install it. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Open the printer's access doors and check for any paper jams or obstructions that may be preventing the setup process from completing.
  • Use HP Smart App: Consider using the HP Smart app, which can help you set up and manage your printer more easily from your mobile device. It provides step-by-step instructions for setting up your printer and troubleshooting common issues.
