Hi @dmartin82,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To resolve the Wi-Fi connectivity issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 printer, follow these troubleshooting steps.

Verify Network Settings

  1. Check Wi-Fi Network: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is operational and other devices can connect.
  2. Wi-Fi Password: Verify the Wi-Fi password is correct.
  3. Network Band: Confirm your printer supports the network band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz). Most HP printers support only 2.4 GHz.

Printer Settings

Reset Network Settings:

  • On the printer's control panel, touch the Setup icon.
  • Select Network Setup.
  • Choose Restore Network Settings.

Manually Set Up Wi-Fi:

  • On the control panel, select Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your network and enter the password.

Check Printer Firmware

Update Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your printer model and download the latest firmware.
  • Follow the instructions to update the firmware.

Router Settings

  1. Check DHCP Settings:
    • Ensure the router's DHCP settings are enabled to automatically assign IP addresses.
  2. MAC Address Filtering:
    • If MAC address filtering is enabled on your router, add the printer’s MAC address to the allowed list.
    • Find the MAC address on the printer’s network configuration page.

Static IP Address

Assign a Static IP:

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings.
  • Select IP Address Configuration, then choose Manual IP.
  • Enter an IP address within your router's range but outside the DHCP range.

HP Print and Scan Doctor

Download Tool:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • Follow the tool’s instructions to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and fix the Wi-Fi connectivity issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
