I tried to change the wifi settings but hp has them locked so i can't

@1mark1 Welcome to HP Community!

 

I understand that you are unable to disable wifi option.

 

I do not have access to the printer at this moment, but I assume you should be able to disable the feature via the EWS screen.

 

Swipe your finger from the top to the bottom of the screen, then tap the ethernet icon and locate the IP address of the printer.

 

From the PC browse to this IP address to open the Embedded Web Server.

Open the Settings tab, under Security select Administrator Settings.

Within the Connecitivity section look for any WiFi Direct setting and siable it from there, that should copletely disable the option from the printer screen.
