Photosmart 6510 Suddenly Won't Print Black

I am having the exact same issue described by the other person with a Photosmart 6510 which I beleive is only one year old. At first it looked like ink was black going out so I changed the cartridge (with an HP made cartridge). No black printing at all. Went through all troubleshooting/ink testing.  Opened another cartridge and still NO black printing. Yesterday I wiped the ink inlet place with an alcohol dipped Q-tip. Now I get gray lettering instead of nothing, but still completely unacceptable...HELP PLEASE!!!!!!  I need a functional printer.

Checked my cartridge venting and ran ANOTHER printhead clean--now NO black again, not even gray letters....

Just in case, I will include this Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP Photosmart 6510 e-All-in... document, and the if you've covered all of those steps and the issue still isn't resolved then there may be one more thing you can try before calling our phone support team.

In our research on the black ink not printing issue, my colleague (@Sunshyn2005) came across a video that may be helpful to you. If the printer is out of warranty (check warranty status here) follow the steps in this How to fix a HP Printer, not printing black ink and missing colours 5510 5515 5520 5524 3070A 364 video.

If that doesn't seem to get the black flowing either, please contact our technical support team by phone and inquire what other options they have for you and perhaps they can offer a discount on a newer printer.

I did clean my printer like the video suggested, although it is still not printing true black--still gray. I will call the support number. Thanks!

Did you ever get a fix on this?  My 6510 does the same thing.  I've done all the steps and cleaned per the video multiple times.  Some documents come out light gray and others (Excel file with numbers don't print the black numbers at all.  I'm in US.  Thanks.
