I am unable to scan to my computer since I turned it off for a week of vacation. It says on the Control Panel on the printer that the Control Panel is locked. It will not let me unlock it, although I was able to print a WiFi Network Test Results that says no problems were found. I tried "admin" as user and "admin" as password, and it didn't recognize that. I don't remember ever setting that up, but at any rate, I can't get it to reset.  I also tried my HP account info, and the code inside my printer.

 

I cannot find a number to **bleep** either.

 

How can I find that user name and password, or reset it? Will it help if I uninstall the printer and download software to reinstall it?

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

We have to perform a Semi Full Reset to unlock the features of the printer/Reset the password and see if that works.

 

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
