Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I would like to scan to a PDF, and I have Windows 7, HP Laserjet 3390 All-in-One

 

I was directed to use the Smart App, but HP Smart App requires Win 8/10

Is there a good alternative?

 

The Windows Fax and Scan does not produce a PDF, so that does not work.

Hi,

You may try installing the HP Scan Extended software and see if it may detect your printer (not officially intended for such an older model, but it may work):

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

 

If that doesn't work, you may try the 3rd party freeware NAPS2 application, it does a great work for my experience:

https://www.naps2.com/
