We have a customer wanting to transfer and address book from a Smasung SCX-5935fn to a newer HP MFP, is there a utility to help with this process?

Easiest method:

1. Export the Samsung address book as a CSV

2. Create an address book on the new machine, entering one address. Then export that book so that you have a template of what information is required and what the format of columns is like. Edit that exported address book and copy and paste the information from the Samsung list into the HP list. You will need to match any columns that are populated in the HP book and there will be a couple of fields you need to add data too. 

3. Save that edited book and then import back into the machine.

 

Couple of gotchas: HP exports in a zip file, you need to extract the CSV file from that export and then copy the edited file back into the zip so you can import. I use 7-ZIP for this.

I appreciate the feedback, the Samsung talks about a utility, it that part of the driver suite or do I need to look for it to download do you know ?
