The HP Smart for Windows application is likely reacting to the Display Resolution on your system.

and / or

Reduce the Display Magnification, for example, so the text in the menus is not distorted.

 

 

Less likely, the application is responding to your fonts set in Windows.

 

Normally, applications are self-contained, that said, if you have installed a non-standard font in Windows and you are using that font as your "main" font set, it is possible the application is using that font set.

I tried the suggestions that were made, namely the windows font and the magnifier.  I even tried to reload HP Office Smart.  I was unsuccessful with all three attempts.

 

Anybody else have any ideas?
