Hello,

 

 i have problem with officejet 8380 scan : i can select only 1 side scan in scan properties.

The duouble side scanning is manual but i need to select two faces for enable it. 

I have tried on two different pc but problem is the same. 

1 month ago i don't have this problem the scanning properties show me one and two side on page scanning option.

Hi,

change the resolution to 300 dpi or less.
Then you can scan manually on both sides again.

Thanks you for replay but double side Scan i Just manuale on this orinter.

The problem Is i cant select 2 side on scanner properties.

I see only one side option.

Ive tries on two different PC with same problem.

Hi,

  1. What is the exact name of your printer?
  2. What is the exact name of your scan app?

We are only talking about manual scanning here! The printer does not have a double-sided scanner!

The model Is 3830 and Is not duplex scanner. Duplex Is only manual i saw...

I reinstalled the software you indicated, even though it was the same one I already had installed. Reset the printer to factory settings. Tried it on both a Windows 10 and Windows 11 PC, and the problem is the same. I really can't believe it, it's like HP has limited the printer's features. Some time ago it was possible to select 2 sides in the scan properties and the software told you how to reposition the sheets after the first scan in order to create a single document, now it is possible to select only 1 side. I really hope it's not a prank by HP because they will surely lose a customer that way. However I haven't solved it, I invite others who have the same problem to report it. I read in other posts with printers similar to mine that after a firmware upgrade this function disappeared but I cannot and do not want to believe in such a move against the consumer. I am still asking for support. Thanks for your help.
