My printer almost always prints with no problem using a wireless connection for some device sand a USB connection for my MacBookAir.  However, I continally have problems scanning.

 

When i try to scan using the commands on the printer itself it usually says my Macbook is not connected. But, it is connected because  have no problem printing from the computer.  Note that scanning is enabled in the printer utility. On the other hand,someitmes it works fine, there is no rhyme nor reason either way. Currently I have been working all day to try to get it to scan and i will not.

 

I have turned the printer and computer off and on a few times to see if things reset but that does ot work either.

 

Very frustrating.
