Solved: Scanned document cannot be imported - HP Support Community

Usually my hp flatbed scanner 3970 works well in Windows 10, but suddenly it will only scan but not import the scannned document to enable me to print it.

Please help me, as I am lost.

Hello Joe,

That device is quite an old device, however if your windows 10 read it, its great!

Maybe you can try the HP scan & capture software, or the windows 10 embeded Image capturer.

TRy windows Fax and scan or microsoft paint, sp that you save the files and then print.

I hope this gives you an alternate Idea.

Many thanks. Am filing your advice for future reference. In the meantime, a friend suggested that I double-click on the box

where scanning is taking place---and that did the trick!
