HP Pavilion All-in-One

Computer has been updated. When I am on the computer for at least 1 hour it shuts off completely. What is wrong?

Did you purchase an extended warranty from HP, i.e., more than the initial "included" warranty.

You can check the warranty via http://support.hp.com   enter the model-number and serial-number.

Maybe, the warranty is still valid, and HP will fix it, at no cost to you.

IMHO, there is nothing "simple" that you can do to trouble-shoot.

It's time to take the computer to a qualified computer technician, for professional diagnosis.

When you say "shuts off completely" , it's like shutting it down in the Start Menu ?

Which model of All-In-One, by the way ?

HP Recommended

It could be overheating, especially if shuts-down as if somebody unplugged the power-cord.

Do a Google-search for "download free SPECCY".

Download/install/run SPECCY.

It will report:

* temperature of the CPU

* speed of the CPU fan

* temperature of the motherboard

* temperature of the disk-drive

Run SPECCY after starting-up your computer, after 15 minutes, after 30 minutes of usage, and after 45 minutes of usage, to see if the values change.

Tell us the numbers.

It was:

44 at 30 mins

45 at 45 mins

and it cuts completely off

Those temperatures (which one of the 4 items did you measure?) are not "outrageously" hot.

How old is the computer?

What Operating System are you using?

Either your keyboard is malfunctioning, or the motherboard is missing keystrokes from the keyboard, or it's too dark to see what you are typing.

(M)easure is C(P)U.  Had computer for almost (9?) years.
