I understand you are trying to get the printer menu on your desktop. Try the steps below:
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select the HP 8600 printer entries and uninstall them.
- Restart your computer.
- Now click http://hp.care/2dUYVtJ and enter your printer model number to download and install the printer drivers.
- Connect the USB cable if needed.
Once the new drivers are installed, try to check the functionality.
