Is there any way to turn off (or disconnect) the touch-sensitivity feature on my wife's HP TouchSmart 520 (1155) ABC computer?     My wife's  cursor-jumping problem has been an extremely frustrating experience for years, now.    We used the extended warranty many times because of it, and even had it sent to hp who finally agreed to replace the touch-screen.  We had them re-install the original Windows 7, but as soon as we gave in to Microsoft to upgrade to Win 8 some months later, the problem returned.  Then upgrading to Win 10 didn't change things at all.

May the Forums be with you!  It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel.  I understand that you are looking for help with disable touch sensitivity.  I am happy to give you a hand with this.

 

If you do not need the touch function then you could disable it, as follows:

 

    Press the Windows logo key + X.
    Select Device Manager from the list.
    Click the little arrow next to Human Interface Devices to expand the list.
    Click the touch screen driver 
    Right-click, and select Disable from the list.

 

Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.
