HP OfficeJet 3830

I got a used printer. I'm trying to connect it to HP Instant Ink so I can use it. While trying to connect it, it says to click the eprint icon. When I do this when the network is connected, it says "Connecting" then goes back to the home screen. There's no way for me to get the code that I need for the Instant Ink connection.

I tried contacting support but it wouldn't let me do so without adding the product. I couldn't add the product because it says the serial number is invalid even though I am positive it is correct.

Please help me connect to Instant Ink.
