I've recently purchased this printer and wish to print to A5 like my old HP printer.
I seem unable to configure things correctly to print to A5 . Is this a probem with this printer?
How can I select the paper to be A5?
Thanks
Simon

Hi,
Add an alternative print driver, then check for any change.
Follow the steps below to add an alternative driver:
- From the control panel enter into Printers, right click the existing Deskjet 2540 icon and select Properties.
- Open the ports tab and take a note of the selected port for your printer, then click the X to close this window.
- Click the Add Printer button at the top menu, then select Add a local printer.
- From the Use an existing port drop down select the same port as used by your printer (as located on step 2), then click on Next.
- Select HP from the Manufacturer list, then select the HP Deskjet 5550 from the printers list and click on Next.
- Follow the next screens by clicking Next, Clcik Finish to complete the Add a printer wizard.
- Now try printing using the added Deskjet 5550, by selecting the A5 paper size.

Hi There,
If you go - Control panel -
Devices and Printers -
"Right click" on your printer icon -
Select " Printer properties" -------- Make sure it`s "Printer properties" and not "Poperties"
Select the "Advanced" tab -
You will the see "Driver : " Option in this new applet
In the box next to it you will probably see " HP Deskjet 2540 Series" .
Select the drop down arrow next to that name and select " HP Deskjet 2540 Series Class Driver" then click apply
at the bottom of the applet window.
Go back to your printer print options and you will see A5 has amazingly appeared. I am running Win8.1.
