Hi,

 

I'm pretty sure this has been asked before, but is there a way to fix a camera preset as the default, and have it remain this way after a device restarts?

 

This is a headache now that Teams Rooms restarts itself overnight, users are frustrated that the camera is zoomed right out and not all of them are comfortable with selecting a preset, so techs are called out all day just to select a preset.

 

If there isn't a way to define a default preset, please could I make this a feature request? It seems like something relatively simple to implement.

Welcome to the HP community.

 

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product, the HP Poly Software, or the Partner application you are using.

 

This is important especially in the future when someone finds this post in days, months, or years to come. Please do not simply edit the original post but reply with the versions.

 

A feature request would need to come via a HP Poly sales contact in order to evaluate this. If this is another Provider the change may also need to come from their Application.

All our devices are set to autoupdate to latest firmware, currently 4.1.4.402003. Likewise for the Teams App - 1449/1.0.96.2024032804

Will be interested if you find an answer.  I would also like a preset for a certain camera position when the speaker tracking can't work out who is speaking and goes back to the full zoomed out room view.  Would be nice to have it go to a particular spot.
