Sep 19, 2022 Question: Why does a Phone return/revert to a previous unknown password even after a factory reset?
Resolution: If a phone is provisioned either by a local server/ZTP/LENS and/or a DHCP option the phone will simply load the old configuration.
On phones with access to the low-level GUI (option 4 >here<) once the password is reset either ZTP can be disabled or the Boot Server can be set to static. For phones that do not have such an option (CCX, Trio, D230, Rove or Edge E) please check with your IT team or whoever set up the phone.

Resolution: A core dump is uploaded by the phone if a phone crashes for some reason. Please provide these to Poly support for further analysis.
Since PVOS 8.2.2 Poly Edge E Phones can download the Core Files via the Web Interface
NOTES:
- We will NOT see the core dump files in the web UI if the phone successfully uploads the core dump files to the provisioning server.
- Up to 6 core dump files can be downloaded from the web UI.
- The core dump zip will also contain the app log from the time of crash which will make it easier to troubleshoot random reboot issues.

Resolution: IP Phones can make calls to other IP addresses or FQDN's without the need to register to a SIP server. Therefore a phone locally creates the Dial Tone to comfort a user who is used to this functionality from a traditional PSTN phone.

Poly Lens Desktop for PC, Apple Mac or iOS, Android, or Google Chrome is a software that can be used to upgrade and adjust compatible Poly USB cameras or Headsets. If an Administrator invites a user to Poly Lens Cloud the Poly Lens software solution extends into the cloud as a central monitoring solution.

May 15, 2024 Question: Are there any limitations when using a Poly CCX EM60?
Resolution: Please check the >Admin guide< as Poly recommends using the CCX EM60 external AC adapter (5 VDC/3 A) for all installations (sold separately). When a power supply isn’t directly connected to the CCX EM60, the following limitations apply:
Hardware revisions of CCX 600 and CCX 700 phones manufactured before November 2022 (revisions A through O) do not support the use of an EM60.
CCX 505, CCX 600, and CCX 700 phones do not provide power to the EM60’s USB-A port regardless of the CCX’s manufacturing date or revision.

Mar 14, 2025 Why can I not downgrade my CCX Phone after upgrading it to PVOS 9.1.0 or later?
Resolution: Due to the introduction of new Teams applications for the move to AOSP device management and changes to the phone’s Android OS, after you upgrade your Poly CCX or Poly Trio C60 phone to PVOS 9.1.0, PVOS 9.1.0 becomes the new minimum software version.
Returning to earlier software versions is not available, and the phone rejects attempts to install earlier versions.
The Logs will show:
