Poly VVX Business Media Phones, Poly  Trio, SoundStation IP or SoundPoint IP phones running an older software are having issues when connected to an Avaya Session Manager 7.x or later

After upgrading Session Manager to 7.1 or later failures in some call flows occur when connected SIP devices change URIs with “sips:” indicators to “sip:” on an intermediate route and via headers, which is not allowed per the SIP RFC. The WebSphere SIP container used at the core of Session Manager uses “sips” URIs for internal connections (between the Session Manager Security Module and the Session Manager WebSphere container).
