A compatible Poly Trio can be paired with a compatible Poly Studio X, G62 or Poly G7500 to act as either a controller or a "remote" depending on the Provider used for the Poly Studio X or Poly  G7500

The Out Of Box guide  => here <= simply explains why there are different models/configurations/options depending on what SKUs stock-keeping-unit the Poly Trio was originally purchased.

You will need to enable the Generic Provider / Base Profile to be able to pair with a compatible Poly Studio X or Poly G62, or G7500.

  • Download the attached ControllerMode.ZIP file and unzip both files and copy these on a FAT32 formatted USB Stick.

Then boot the device after a factory reset
(You have to change the password first and confirm this)
once the next screen appears plug in the USB stick and confirm USB Provisioning
(the password is the one added before)
and the device will provision from the USB stick into the desired mode (The file contains instructions in case any changes are wanted) if compatible as outlined above in detail.

The configuration will also apply the EULA, and set the language to English and a UK timezone.

The new Password, if the USB files are used, will be 789

    or

Once the Phone is in Generic Mode navigate via the Phone UI to Settings > Advanced > Enter the Password added during the Out of Box Process > Administration Settings

NOTE: Microsoft Teams Rooms - Speaker and microphone only. You can connect one Poly Trio speakerphone to your system.
The Microsoft Teams Rooms controller on the Poly Trio speakerphone offers
limited functionality and is not supported as a Teams Rooms controller. Use a connected Poly TC8 and Poly TC10 touch controller or touch screen monitor to control your Microsoft Teams Rooms environment.
Volume and Mute controls are supported using a Poly Trio (tested with PVOS 8.1.6.1005 and PolyOS 4.3)

Simplified UI for Microsoft Teams

Since PVOS 9.0.1 a new parameter can be used to simplify the Poly C60 User Interface to display a clock only as the UI does not 100% reflect all functionalities that a TC device would offer.

<!-- Enable simplified UI with a Clock only when in Poly Controller mode paired to a Studio X, G62 or G7500 -->
<up up.uiTheme="ClockOnly" />

download the attached >file< and unzip it and import via the Web Interface. Ensure the device is running at least PVOS 9.0.1

Our Partner Google does not support the Poly Trio as a Microphone or Controller as stated >here<

Note: Depending on the Provider, the amount of available paired Trios changes. Please work with Poly Support or the Provider in question. This also depends on the Software Version running on the Poly Studio X, Studio G62, or Poly  G7500 / Trio. The above screenshots were created using PolyOS 4.2 and Poly Trio PVOS 8.1.6

Always check

Aug 13, 2024 Question: Is there a guide or overview for supported and compatible peripherals for a G62, G7500, or Poly Studio X family, and what Provider or Partner Mode are these supported?

Resolution: Please check >here<
