It may be preferable to disable the pop up messages during a freshly booted Polycom VVX Business Media Phone introduced since UC Software 5.9.0 or later

The below configuration lets a user disable this by utilizing the Web Interface “Utilities > Import & Export Configuration > Import Configuration” and importing the attached file.

<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
<!-- disable the pop up during boot to display the phone status -->
<test up.phoneBootStatusPopupEnabled="0" />

UC Software 5.9.0 introduced a new feature that during the boot up process would display useful information like the VLAN etc.

This feature displays the phone’s status pop up information for IP Address, VLAN ID, Provisioning and SNTP status upon every reboot/restart. This feature is enabled by default.
