How to customize the background or add a picture of a Poly Visual+ / VisualPro connected to a compatible Poly Trio

It may be desirable to customize the background or change the originally displayed background on a Polycom Visual+

The built in background Pictures can simply be changed using the Web Interface:

Or via the Phone UI Settings > Basic > Preferences > Networked Devices Background

Backgrounds

Usually the backgrounds can be:

  • Blue Gradient
  • Hallstatter See Lake (default)
  • Bavarian Alps
  • Forget-Me-Not Pond

A additional JPG or PNG picture can be defined using a configuration file pointing it an a location that the phone can re-connect to in case a reboot is required.

Caveats:
For VisualPro the Image size must be 1920x1080 and must be JPG!

  • Limit for size is 2.9MB

The above configuration example utilizes an FTP User of 3 and a Password of 1 with the defined Server IP and the Background Picture Name
