UC Software 6.4.0 for compatible VVX phones added a wildcard certificate configured on both the SIP and LDAP servers.

Other Poly phones do not support wildcard certificates. For these phones, we only support wildcards for Skype for Business.

UC Software 4.0.0 added the ability to disable the Common Name validation and therefore partly use utilize certificates with Poly phones.

This allows a customer to utilize a certificate like:

*.example.com

The following configuration parameters can be utilized (check against the Admin Guide:

device.sec.TLS.dot1x.strictCertCommonNameValidation
device.sec.TLS.prov.strictCertCommonNameValidation
device.sec.TLS.syslog.strictCertCommonNameValidation
sec.TLS.SIP.strictCertCommonNameValidation
sec.TLS.SOPI.strictCertCommonNameValidation

Provisioning or SIP registration can also be enabled / disabled via the Web Interface
