HP ENVY Notebook - 17-n008nl (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I need a replacement battery for my HP ENVY Notebook - 17-n008nl.

Unfortunately, spares are no longer available throiugh the HP website.

Having searched online, everywhere is offering the MC06 (6 Cells 4400mAh 11.1V) for my laptop model number.
The actual battery inside is the MC04 (4 Cells 2200mAh 14.8V)

Which battery is ok for my laptop??

I have seen that Banhein usually links to the product page, (like he did here https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Are-MC04-and-MC06-batteries-co...) I believe this is from the same series as mine.

But when I go to mine there is no info regarding alternative battery options like the MC06

A lower voltage can damage my laptop, so how come this is the option that everyone is suggesting online?

Thanks in Advance

@Dhar_2

Its specs

             https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04740174

It uses  4-cell, 41 Wh Li-ion polymer part # 807231-001 which is N/A from HP Parts store

           https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=807231-001

You have to use right part and you can use part # to search online such as Amazon, Newegg ....  including eBay for example

Regards.

Hi Banhien,

Thanks for your quick reply.

So i cant use the MC06 (6 Cells 4400mAh 11.1V)?

Searching online for the battery number 807231-001

I keep getting the 4400mAh 11.1v battery and no sign of the other  14.8v one.
